To Whom It May Concern:
For the past 6 years, the Winston-Salem Transit Authority has relied on the great folks at Rainbow Catering to provide delicious food and excellent service for our big community event, Accessible Festival. The festival is a big day filled with fun and activities for people with disabilities and their families. Because our event is totally free to anyone who attends, our crowd could be as large as 700 or as few as 400 people.

No matter how many people are in attendance, Jim Burton and his great staff work with us to make sure everyone gets a good hot meal that tastes fantastic. Whether it is a meat and two veggies or hot dogs and hamburgers; the staff is always professional and friendly. We appreciate the diversity of the staff and the fact that they pay attention to details. We never worry if we will have all the utensils necessary for our meals, because Jim Burton and his staff have already anticipated our needs.

Even when we have no idea what we want to serve, we can rely on the folks at Rainbow Catering to sit down with us and figure it out. They never rush us into making a choice or decision, and they always tell us, “If it’s not on the menu, lets us know what you want and we’ll create a menu for you”.  When we are in the midst of planning our annual event, the last thing I want to worry about is whether we can get what we want at a reasonable price. That is never a concern because they will let us know up front what our costs will be, and they are great at accommodating our budget.

Rainbow Catering treats us right, and they treat the people who attend our event with the utmost respect and kindness. That is what is most important to us. WSTA keeps using Rainbow Catering because they do an excellent job.

Sincerely

I would like to share my experience with Mr. Jim Burton and Rainbow Catering with the residents of Forsyth and surrounding counties.

I was introduced to Mr. Burton when I was serving in the position of parish life chairman and searching for a caterer for our Wednesday Night Dinners (serving approximately 70 people) at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. I asked to see Jim’s menu, his reply offered several suggestions in our price range. I picked one and the next week Jim showed up on time with the selected meal, table clothes, and tea. Jim and his employees assisted in the set up and serving of our meals which was above and beyond what I expected. Jim would frequently call with menu recommendations. One meal that was a favorite of our parish was his chicken stew.

From the first meal served to the last (when the Wednesday Night format changed) our two year relationship offered outstanding meals enjoyed by all.

As a result of my experience with Rainbow Catering, I asked Jim to serve lunches to the members of my Lions Club, the Winston-Salem Twin City Host Lions, for our twice a month meetings. This arrangement has worked well with members of the club saying they really enjoy his lunches. Also, Jim has served the “Summer Program for the Visually Impaired Children” at Industries For the Blind. His lunches have been a favorite of the kids in this program.

Rainbow catering has also served Chicken Stew at my new church, Episcopal Church of the Ascension at Fork (Davie County). This meal has been a favorite of our Diocesan Bishop and all of the members of our church.

Mr. Jim Burton is real gentleman and an experienced caterer. So, if it’s just 10 people or a hundred, Jim is remarkable with his great taste and incredible service. I give him a A+ for his meals and service.

Sincerely,

— Milton (Milt) Price
